Movie studios reshuffle release dates, major films abandoning 2021

The 25th James Bond film may have a clear run at the box office as most of the serious competition is pulling the plug on 2021. If the release of 'No Time To Die' holds, it could have weeks at the cinema without any major tentpole movies vying for the same audience.
Today, Paramount ejected Tom Cruise's 'Top Gun: Maverick' and 'Mission: Impossible 7' as well as 'Jackass Forever' all from 2021 to 5/27/22, 9/30/22, and 2/4/22 respectively.
Columbia Pictures bumped 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' just a week to November 19th, giving 'No Time To Die' some additional room.
Sony has already delayed 'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' once this month, but there is talk of it abandoning its October 15th date.
Most importantly, this week sees the 'only in cinemas' release of Marvel's 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' globally. Many studios will be watching the returns closely.
As it stands today, MGM and EON are committed to releasing 'No Time To Die' on September 30th in the UK and October 8th in the USA.
