"Who doesn't
want to be a Bond girl? I'm not worried
about being stereotyped."
Pleased To Meet You
007 comes across the
feisty Camille after a case of mistaken identity in Port
au Prince, Haiti. She is hell-bent on avenging her family
and the interaction between the pair starts off frosty.
After she concludes that Bond is not out to kill her,
their relationship forms as an alliance of convenience
- both with a common goal.
Caught In The Act
A rare breed of Bond girl indeed,
Camille is one who does not cave in the expected way to 007's
charm and advances. While she does not bed
Bond on-screen, she does help the grieving 007 take his mind
of Vesper Lynd.

Profile
The smart and independent Camille became an orphan after the vicious murder
of her family by the rogue General Medrano. Distraught, after having witnessing
the horrific spectacle, Camille lived a life of bitter exile. While her
mother was a Russian, her homeland is the South American nation of
Bolivia - where Medrano and Greene are
plotting a regime change.
Not unused to fending for herself,
Camille is feisty and quick handed with a weapon. She drives
a slinky new metallic-gold Ford
Ka. With a "masculine spirit", Camille remains cautious
and skeptical of all men however, she eventually warms to her new ally:
James
Bond.
"Doing Bond is an amazing experience - I've seen other Bond movies and I liked them. I loved the last one, and Daniel Craig is my favourite Bond."

Quotes
"She's careful and she doesn't trust that easily. So basically with men, she either uses them, or if they're no use, and she sees that they can't serve her, then she throws them away. First she is trying to figure this guy out. But Bond and Camille do warm up to each other."
"Camille is a strong independent woman who is charming and sensual. Bond women are strong at the same time as being feminine. I've never worked so hard training for any other movie, I'm using weapons, driving cars and involved in fight scenes."
On her personal life: "I don't want a boyfriend. I don't have time for it. I am going abroad for six months, filming in Europe and Panama. Who can cope with that? "I think it is easier this way. I want to be totally involved in the movie. I get up, go to the set, work, go back and go to bed. But that is how I want it. I love it." |
