Curve Digital want to make a James Bond game

Gaming - 24-01-16
It's safe to say that the latest James Bond game, 'World of Espionage', was a bit of a flop. Developed by the same studio that created Kim Kardashian's app, the latest 007 digital outing was exclusively for mobile.

A lot of these bigger firms are not terribly interested in licences now, Curve Digital Entertainment boss Dominic Wheatley told MCV.

There is a completely justifiable arrogance from the bigger companies who are saying that they dont need a movie licence. They have Assassins Creed and Call of Duty, they have their own IP, so why should they promote someone elses brand? That is an incredible coming of age for the games industry.

But Id be very happy to have a James Bond licence. We could do a cracking game around that. These are opportunities that might be overlooked by the bigger firms.

Long time Bond gamers may recognise the name. Dominic Wheatley was one of the co-founders of computer game house Domark, who released several 007 titles in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
