Biography

Born: 1977, Philippines

Fourth-cousin to Princes William and Harry, Grant is the middle of three sisters who grew up in Nottingham where her Filipino mother worked in theatre.

She studied at drama school in London before going on to work as a dancer on Top Of The Pops and MTV. Her beauty took her around the world as Miss Great Briton and her big break came as Nina on the popular Sci-Fright programme on the Sci-Fi channel. She was also a body-double for Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider but was uncredited.

Her Bond connection goes back to the days before her TV work where she worked as an usherette at the Notting Hill Coronet cinema, where she says she must have seen GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies hundreds of times.

Grant admits she could not get the part on looks alone, so demonstrated her martial arts skills at the audition.

"After auditioning I was at Pinewood shooting the scene," she said. "It was terrifying, especially when Lee Tamahori, the director, and the writers came to look me up and down."
